Fasooha, 21 years old, renewed the 800 meter record last month when competing in India. At the time, she completed the race in 2 minutes 14.53 seconds.

The first time Fasooha came to hold the record in women's 800 meter race is in May 2023, at the National Time Trials, where she broke a record that had been held for 13 years. She broke the record through completing the race in 2 minutes 27.92 seconds.

This was followed by swift progress on Fasooha's part, with her going on to renew the record on three occasions within the last year.

In the Time Trial held in July, she first broke the record with 2 minutes and 21.83 seconds. Then she got the opportunity to be in the national squad for Indian Ocean Island Games for the first time.

Following this, she participated in the Asian Games held in China in October last year. There she broke the record for the third time, completing the race in 2 minutes 20.66 seconds. She ended the year with winning the Best Athlete Award in the National Grand Prix through setting a new record.

Fasooha also won the Best Female Athlete award at the 11th Athletics Association Championship held in March this year.
