"Champa" Mohamed Moosa hosts special show to honor Kamadhoo's traditional dance group

Maldives' most prominent businessman, "Champa" Mohamed Moosa popularly known as Uchchu has hosted a show to celebrate the endorsement and applaud received by the traditional dance group native to Baa atoll Kamadhoo during Eid-al-Adha festivities.

Maldives' most prominent businessman, "Champa" Mohamed Moosa popularly known as Uchchu has hosted a show to celebrate the endorsement and applaud received by the traditional dance group native to Baa atoll Kamadhoo during Eid-al-Adha festivities.

Kamadhoo, located in the northern province of Maldives, approximately 20 minutes from the Velana International Airport via flight had reportedly captivated both locals and tourists alike with their lively performances such as traditional dances and modern music shows during the recent Eid-al-Adha holidays.

The traditional dance group of Kamadhoo, alongside members of Kamadhoo's Island Council, had visited Kuredu Island Resort & Spa, one of the several resorts run under the "Champa Brothers" umbrella in response to Moosa's personal invitation on Friday.

Moosa had also hosted a special tea at his residence in Kuredu in honor of the dance group on Friday evening with a special show also held later that night to display the traditional art of Kamadhoo.

The traditional dance group of Kamadhoo, who had stolen the spotlight during the recent Eid-al-Adha festivities had performed many traditional numbers during this show. The group was also presented with a special gift on behalf of Moosa.

During the ceremony last night, Moosa's "Chamgiri" was also rebranded under the name, Champa Romantic Island.

Moosa, who entered business at a very young age 50 years ago typically hosts such festivities at Kuredu Maldives. A colorful ceremony was also held at the resort on December 2023 to celebrate his birthday, a day that is always celebrated grandly each time.
