Five Maldivian powerlifters delivered impressive performances at the Thai Amateur Association of Powerlifting (TAAP) National Qualifier 3, held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Competing in various weight classes, the Maldivian athletes excelled across the three powerlifting disciplines: squat, bench press, and deadlift.
Shamsa Hussain Mohamed took the top spot in the 69 Kilograms Open category with a total lift of 357.5 Kilograms, securing 1st place in her division.
Adam Mibsaam Saleem won first place in the 66 Kilograms Junior category, with a total lift of 540 KG total.
Mikail Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed competed in the 66 Kilograms Open category, earning second place with a total of 480 Kilograms.
Imkan Ibrahim, competing in the 74 Kilograms Junior category, lifted a total of 500 Kilograms and secured third place in his division.
Hussain Zaidan Jaleel faced strong competition in the 93 Kilograms Open category, one of the event's most challenging divisions. He lifted an impressive 597.5 Kilograms, achieving fourth place.
