The President said that in the case that an opportunity to transfer from Giravaru Falhu to Gulhi Falhu does exist, it will be determined only after relevant policies are put in place. He said that all this would be cleared up once a land use plan is finalized.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said on Tuesday night that there exists a possibility that a chance may be allowed for those who were allocated land plots in Giravaru Falhu under the former administration's Binveriya Scheme to exchange their allocated land for plots in Gulhi Falhu.
In an episode of 'Raeesge Javaabu' [President's Response] - a program run on social media by the government where the President directly responds to public queries via a video - a question was posed to the President asking if it is possible for those who received land in Giravaru Falhu to change the plot with one in Gulhi Falhu or Hulhumale'.
The President responded that this is a question he has been oft-asked by receivers of land plots from Giravaru Falhu.
He explained that a definite decision has not yet been made on the matter.
In the case that such an opportunity does exist, that will be determined only after relevant policies are put in place, he responded. The President said that all this would be cleared up once a land use plan is finalized.
"Therefore, you can consider that there is a chance that those who received land from Giravaru Falhu can receive land from Gulhi Falhu instead," he concurred.
