'Male' Binveringe Sallaa' - a meeting of those granted land plots under the former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's 'Binveriya' housing scheme - is scheduled to be held at 2000hrs tonight at Sultan Park.

Sunadh Latheef, Vice President of Male' Citizen's Association, met with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu as a representative of the four organizations.

He said that tonight's meeting is being held to share with the attendees the details of the housing scheme's progress that he had learned through his discussions with the President.

A special message from the President will also be delivered at the meeting tonight.

In a post on social media X after the meeting, Sunadh stated that he had received clarity in a number of matters surrounding the land projects.

Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's administration initiated the Binveriya housing scheme, through which it aimed to grant 9000 land plots located in Hulhumale Phase 2, Hulhumale Phase 3, Gulhi Falhu and Giravaru Falhu.

Issuing of registries, and a number of land plots, were commenced during his administration. After an interruption, the issuance of registries have been resumed.
