Due to this, Police and Immigration had conducted joint operations in these areas, through which they had identified and detained 25 expatriates in contravention of Immigration laws.
Immigration said that Immigration Controller Mohamed Shamaan Waheed and Deputy Controller Ahmed Ashfan also participated in these operations.
Immigration had conducted a similar operation at the Local Market area on Tuesday as well, where 23 expatriates had been detained.
