Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said today that they remain to receive permits to conduct the necessary repairs despite having requested it from the City Council.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said today that while the company that runs the kiosk is required to oversee repair and maintenance of Rasfannu Beach, they remain to receive permits to conduct the necessary repairs despite having requested it from the Male' City Council days ago.
MTCC's Media Official said that the agreement to oversee maintenance and repair of Rasfannu Beach had been signed with the Housing Ministry.
The official said that the kiosk is leased to another company, which is required to conduct repair and maintenance of Rasfannu under their CSR initiatives.
They said that they had sought ways of conducting repairs as the huts, barbecue area and fishing area due to wear and damage. However, they added, they were yet to receive a response from the City Council.
They said that the work is facing delays due to this failure to receive necessary permissions.
