President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Monday appointed Dr Abdulla Mausoom as the Maldivian Ambassador to Singapore.
Dr Mausoon was presented with the official credentials by the President Solih during a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
Newly appointed Dr Mausoom attained his Philosophy doctorate from the University of Birmingham.
He formerly held senior positions in the government such as Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Minister of Environment and Energy and Parliament member representing the constituency of Kelaa, Haa Alif Atoll.
Additionally, Dr Mausoom was the Chief Executive Officer at Streamliners Maldives. He is also the current Vice-President of Jumhooree Party (JP).
