The number of citizens eligible to vote in the upcoming Parliamentary Election is 264,589, announced the Elections Commission (EC) on Monday.
EC's member Ahmed Akram stated that the electoral watchdog will publicise the voters' list and open complaint submissions on Tuesday.
"Voters who haven't changed their registered islands since the Presidential Election [in September 2018] will not have to re-register this time," he added.
The number of eligible voters for the parliamentary election is higher by 2,454, compared to the 262,135 voters eligible for the presidential election.
The EC is to open applications for the parliamentary elections on Monday night.
The election is slated for April 6, with 87 constituencies.
