Vice President Faisal Naseem met with the Pakistani Ambassador, Retired Vice Admiral Waseem Akram, at the President’s Office on Wednesday.
At the meeting, Vice President Faisal and Ambassador Waseem Akram discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. The discussion centred on opportunities for cooperation in the sectors of trade, education, sports and health.
Additionally, Ambassador Akram expressed interest in organizing a medical camp, following the success of the camp held in 2018.
Ambassador Akram further affirmed Pakistan’s desire to work closely with the administration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The Vice President expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s continued support to Maldives and stated that he hoped that the bond between the two countries would increase in the coming years.
Ambassador Waseem Akram also congratulated Vice President Faisal on being elected to office.
