President instructs student loans to be issued to all eligible 806 students

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has instructed that student loans be issued to all 806 students deemed eligible.

A total of 1,338 students applied for the 500 slots offered this year for student loans. Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development today published an initial list of 806 students who were found to be eligible for the loans.

In a post on X, President Muizzu stated that he has ordered relevant ministries to issue student loans to all 806 eligible students seeking to pursue higher education in Maldives and abroad.

Higher Education Ministry earlier said that concerns and complaints about the initial list of eligible loan applicants can be submitted until August 3.
