AbduRahman's body taken to Male'

The body of AbduRahman, who died as a result of injuries sustained in a serious assault in AA. Maalhos last night, has been sent to Male' for conducting an autopsy.

AbduRahman, 65, Orchidmaage, Maalhos, was discovered last night at around 2am in his bedroom with severe head injuries. He was immediately rushed to the Health Centre, but succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

A number of members of AbduRahman's family accompanied his body to Malé. However, the family state that they prefer a funeral be held at the earliest and do not approve of having a post mortem conducted.

"We are not obstructing the investigation. But as it would cause further harm to the body, we do not wish for it to be done," a member of his family told Mihaaru News.

Residents of Maalhos are not accusing anyone of AbduRahman's murder. They say that the island is known for being crime free, and so no one is raising suspicions.

Police have not yet disclosed any details regarding the case. AbduRahman's residence continues to be closed off for purposes of the investigation.

AbduRahman had three children. He lived with his wife in his wife's house in Maalhos. All his children reside in Male'.
