74 vehicles towed from Majeedhee Magu for parking violations

Police said that a total of 74 vehicles have been towed from Majeedhee Magu for parking violations.

Police began towing vehicles that violated parking regulations from last Thursday.

Since then, 69 were two-wheelers and five four-wheelers have been towed.

Police have stated that all vehicles removed from the area will be held for 48 hours before they can be reclaimed.

Authorities have urged the public to use designated parking zones to avoid fines.

Majeedhee Magu, one of the main roads through Male', was reconstructed in 2022 with a ban on parking on either side. However, authorities say illegal parking has since returned in parts of the road.
