One injured in Laamu accident brought to Male' for surgery

One of the two men injured in last night's accident on the Laamu Gan Link Road has been brought to Male' to undergo surgery.

The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were injured in last night's accident where the motorcycle and a car travelling from north to south on the Link Road collided around 7pm last night.

An official from the hospital said that the 48 year old man has a head injury and a fracture in his leg. After conducting a CT scan and ensuring there was no damage to the brain, and after administering necessary treatment, the man was discharged later last night.

The other man injured in the accident is a 44 year old. He broke his arm near the shoulder joint.

The official said that the man has been transferred to Male' on the Air Ambulance as he needs to undergo a surgery. Both are in stable condition, the hospital confirmed.
