Dangerous accident on Laamu Link Road

Two persons have sustained serious injuries in a dangerous accident that occurred on the Laamu Gan Link Road last night.

Police said that a car driving from north to south on the Link Road and a motorcycle crashed last night, with Police receiving reports of the accident at 7pm. Both the driver and the passenger sustained multiple breaks in their legs and head injuries.

The 44 year old driver of the motorcycle broke his right leg in two places and sustained a head injury. There were additional injuries as well, Police said in a message to media.

The passenger, also 44 years of age, sustained two head injuries and two breaks in his right leg, as well as other injuries, Police said.

Police confirmed that the 62 year old driver of the car was unharmed in the accident. Both the vehicles involved in the accident were damaged to various extents.
