The latest serving principal at the school was a foreigner who left the position in 2021. The foreign principal serving at the time had been transferred to another island following the parents expressing discontent with his performance.
Then, a temporary replacement had been sent to take over the job. Once the term of the temporary Principal ended, running of the school was handed over to a leading teacher.
Currently, the school is being led by another leading teacher, Aminath Majidha.
Hirimaradhoo School has 37 students enrolled, with 17 teachers.
The announcement seeking a new principal was published on Sunday, with the deadline for application set as 13:30 hrs on Thursday.
Applications can be submitted by two ranks of Principals. The salary and allowances offered for Rank 1 principals is MVR 26,181, and MVR 28,285 for Rank 2.
