MFDA cautions public over quality issue in an intravenous drug manufactured in India

MFDA clarified that this company is not on the list of authorized suppliers for importing and selling drugs in the Maldives and no batches of the medication have been imported into the country in accordance with the prescribed regulations.

Maldives Food and Drug Authority (MFDA) has asked the public to be cautious following a quality issue with "Normal Immunoglobulin for IV," a medication manufactured in India.

In an announcement, MFDA stated that the World Health Organization (WHO) reported a quality concern in certain batches of this intravenous drug produced by the Indian pharmaceutical company Iko Biologicals.
