The Criminal Court on Monday postponed the final verdict on a cameraman of local television channel Raajje TV who was arrested for allegedly obstructing police.

Adam Zareer is charged with obstructing police for pushing police barricades in an attempt to enter a restricted area during a protest in March 2015.

Mihaaru understands that his verdict, which was originally scheduled for January 16, was pushed back as the judge presiding over Zareer’s case is currently on leave.

In addition to Zareer, Raajje TV journalists Mohamed Visam and Leevan Ali Nazeer have also been with obstructing police for attempting to stop policemen from arresting their CEO Hussain Fiyaz, who had been caught trespassing on Maafannu Stadium which the police had closed off last year November to defuse an explosive device discovered near the presidential palace of Muliaage. The charges against the duo have been proven and their final verdicts are scheduled to be read January 24.
