Five individuals arrested at premises operating as spa in Feydhoo

Five people have been arrested from a spa operated in Seenu atoll Feydhoo.

Police stated today that two Maldivian men and five Thai women were arrested during the inspection of a site believed to be disguised as a spa under an operation run in the Addu-Feydhoo region.

No further information has been divulged thus far. Police has also not revealed the allegation held over the five arrested individuals.

Police stated the case is currently under investigation.

With the surge in prostitution centers in Maldives, concerned authorities have been directed with heavy criticism. Police have been launching operations on several occasions and raiding sites believed to conduct prostitution activities with multiple arrests also made.
