Sri Lankan Ambassador to Maldives Retired Major General A.B. Thoradeniya, on Monday, paid a farewell call to Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
During the meeting, Minister Shahid thanked Ambassador Thoradeniya for contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Maldives and Sri Lanka throughout his ambassadorial tenure.
The foreign minister also expressed hopes of enhanced cooperation between the two countries in the future.
Furthermore, Minister Shahid wished the ambassador success in all future endeavours.
The meeting was followed by a lunch hosted by the foreign minister in honour of Ambassador Thoradeniya.
