President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated today that he has high trust in the newly appointed Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation Mauroof Jameel, expressing confidence in his integrity.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated today that he has high trust in the newly appointed Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation Mauroof Jameel, expressing confidence in his integrity.
Speaking to the press outside the President's Office this afternoon, President Muizzu said that he has been taking necessary actions to resolve the issues surrounding HDC from the moment he became aware of it. He assured that positive changes will come to the corporation following the steps being taken now.
"I have high confidence that things will improve. What I want in this cooperation from all. For example, former Minister Mauroof Jameel, who I appointed to HDC today. He is a man I have solid trust in, he will maintain full integrity. He will work with full commitment and professionalism," the President said.
The President said that all government institutions need leaders like Mauroof, who will work with honesty and integrity.
He said that he did not want to allow for acts of corruption in any institutions, saying this would not be allowed to happen in any other companies, ministries or offices either.
The President said that the Police investigation would lead to uncovering the persons behind this issue, and necessary action would be taken against them.
