The bank said that the ATM will offer dollar deposit and withdrawal services around the clock, providing added convenience to customers.
The Hithadhoo branch also has two additional ATMs even at present. This includes one dedicated for self service banking and one for withdrawals.
At the inauguration ceremony held last night, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said that the placement of the dollar ATM demonstrates the bank's commitment towards providing services to meet the rising demand in Addu.
He emphasized that Addu is key in the bank's development journey.
"Our first branch in the atolls was in Addu. Today, Addu has three branches, nine ATMs, contact centre and is also where the highest number of BML staff work besides Male'," Shareef said.
In a statement released by the bank, they stated that BML currently has 39 branches in 20 atolls, 95 self service banking centres, 151 ATMs, agent banking services and advanced online baking services.
