Special Advisor to the President Abdul Raheem Abdulla has stated that if there is one person unwavering in their defence of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's administration, then that person would be none other than him.
Abdul Raheem made this declaration while speaking at the ceremony held on Thursday in Laamu atoll Fonadhoo to sign the agreement with China's CAMCE to commence bunkering services in Laamu Atoll Gaadhoo.
He appealed to the people of Laamu atoll to vote for the four People's National Congress (PNC) candidates contesting in the area if they wished to see the realization of their developmental aspirations.
Abdul Raheem said that it is only through electing these MPs that the President will be able to implement the development projects he has planned for Hahdhunmathi atoll.
He asserted that without doubt, by the end of President Dr Muizzu's five year term, Hahdhumathi atoll will be the peak of development in the country.
"We will bring the advancement and development that Hahdhunmathi needs. We will ensure it is done to a level that satisfies you. Hahdhumathi will be the peak of development in Maldivian's Maldives by the end of President Dr Muizzu's first five years of presidency. We are working to bring development to the entire Hahdhunmathi area," Abdul Raheem stated.
Abdul Raheem reiterated that the administration remained steadfast regardless of what the opposition may say.
"I will face every challenge that is posed against your presidency with courage. Should there remain just one staunch defender of this government, that person will be me. The entire Hahdhunmathi remains in this way," Abdul Raheem addressed the President.
Abdul Raheem expressed confidence that there will be never be any committing of political violence by the President and asserted that they wanted Maldives to remain a free and independent nation.
He stated that all of this would only be possible through granting parliamentary majority to the ruling party in the election slated to be held on April 21.
"We want our Maldives to be a place where there are ample employment opportunities for our youth. We want our Maldives to be a place where our senior citizens receive the respect and dignity they deserve. We want our Maldives to be a place where every Maldives can live peacefully, safely, and in contentment," Abdul Raheem said.
Abdul Raheem said that as Maldivians had made the decision during last September's election to build 'Dhiveheenge Raajje' [Maldivian's Maldives - PPM/PNC election slogan], now it is time to pave the way for that goal to be achieved.
"After giving a responsibility to someone, you must allow them to carry out that responsibility. Only then can they completely carry out their responsibility. To build 'Dhiveheenge Raajje', it is crucial that President Dr Muizzu gets a clear majority in the 20th People's Majlis. It is only through electing government candidates that we can truly reach Dhiveheenge Raajje," Abdul Raheem said.
