In the first table tennis tournament of the year, the ranking tournament, Fathimath Dheema Ali and Moosa Munsif Ahmed have emerged as champions.
In the first table tennis tournament of the year, the ranking tournament, Fathimath Dheema Ali and Moosa Munsif Ahmed have emerged as champions.
The tournament which was was held over the weekend saw Dheema win first place through winning all sets of all matches. She secured a total of 8 points.
Ranking second in women's TT is Mishka Mohamed Ibrahim who won all matches except the one against Dheema. She got a total of 7 points.
Third place went to Aishath Alsa Nafiz. She held on to her existing rank as she is currently abroad on a TT training program.
Table Tennis Association of Maldives keeps players at their existing rank if they are abroad participating in an approved TT training program.
After the ranking tournament, Dheema, Mohamed Shaffan Ismail and Ahyar Ahmed Khalid will be leaving to Japan on a training program.

First ranking in the men's segment went to seasoned player Munsif. Munsif won all six matches, securing 12 points.
Second ranking when tot Mohamed Shaffan Ismail, who only lost one match, which was against Munsif.
National Champion Ahyar ranked third. He won four out of six matches.
