President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that under this administration, there are no issues that the youth cannot have a say in.
Speaking at the first meeting of the Maldivian Youth Advisory Committee after it was launched today, the President said that youth make up the largest demographic in the country's population.
The President emphasized that the reason for establishing this committee is to ensure that the voices of youth are represented in deciding on matters of the State. He said that the committee can provide advice to him regarding all matters of the State.
"It gives me great pleasure that a work like this has commenced. That is, Maldivian youth achieving something for the country's youth. There are no limits, nothing you cannot voice your views on," the President said.
"Instead of doing what I suggest, this paves the way for you to voice your views on how you want things done," the President said in his remarks today on occasion of International Youth Day.
The President said that this committee can advice on anything relating to the State, or anything happening in the country.
The President urged all members of the committee to work free of influence from any other persons and independently.
The Maldivian Youth Advisory Committee consists of fifteen members.
