This includes now suspended Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed, and his brother, Mohamed Fazeel Rasheed, who is amongst those who wrongly received land plots.
Others include senior officials of HDC and the Housing Ministry.
Fazul was suspended alongside other members of the board except for recently appointed Chairperson Ahmed Nasif.
Fazeel has also been suspended from his position as Deputy Managing Director at MWSC. Police are investigating charges of forgery against him.
Ina press conference last night, Police said that as of then, six people have been questioned in the case, which did not include any staff of HDC.
