Minister of Construction, Housing, and Infrastructure Dr Abdulla Muththalib has stated that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's Presidential Address on Thursday reaffirmed his commitment to development projects and outlined a clear vision for their progress.
Speaking on a PSM program, Muththalib noted that the President provided details of ongoing and upcoming projects, emphasizing that there is a structured plan and regulatory framework in place on which the cabinet is currently working on. He added that despite financial challenges, this year will bring significant results.
Minister of Finance and Planning Moosa Zameer also highlighted the President’s unprecedented efforts in promoting tourism, particularly in Addu City and Hanimaadhoo. He stressed that these initiatives will have a direct positive impact on local businesses.
During his more than two-hour address, President Muizzu assured that stalled projects across various islands including water and sewerage projects, school infrastructure, health centers, and sports facilities will resume this month and next.
