US Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh on Friday declined to say in advance what monetary policy decisions the regulator might make at the remaining meetings before the end of the year.

"I don't prejudge meetings. I don't believe in saying now what I might do at the meetings that we have in the balance of this year," Warsh said at a meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Bangkok.

The Fed will continue to assess the dynamics of economic growth, employment, and inflation before making further decisions, he said.

Warsh added he intends to pay close attention to the assessments of colleagues from other central banks, since the Fed’s decisions affect the global economy, and the policies of other countries, in turn, have an impact on the United States.

In September, the Fed decided to increase the interest rate by 0.25 percentage points, to 3.75%-4%. The hike is the first since 2023. Warsh stated at that time that such a decision would support a faster return to the agency's 2% goal.
