Apple has announced they are including Apple TV and Apple Arcade free of charge for iCloud+ subscribers.
This change is not reflected for iCloud accounts in the United States of America (USA). However, Maldives will be receiving this service.
Apple TV is an ad-free streaming service that has Apple's original movies, popular shows and various entertainment content at the highest video quality.
The statement released by Apple on Tuesday reads they have decided to expand their services to 59 new countries. Maldives is included in this list of countries, with the Apple TV service being made available to 170 markets.
Details regarding the change:
- Available for all plans: Full access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade from the basic iCloud+ 50GB plan to all storage plans that require a payment.
- No additional charges: These services will be made available within the monthly fee for iCloud storage. There will be no additional charges.
- Certain subscriptions will be voided: The separate sale of Apple TV and Apple Arcade in the Maldivian market has been stopped. The subscriptions of those who were making separate payments for the services will be canceled and changed to the iCloud plan. Save files for games will not be lost.
- Family Sharing: Similar to iCloud storage, this bundle will include family sharing of Apple TV and Apple Arcade for five family members.
- Apple Music discount: With the introduction of "Apple Music Select", those who want to upgrade to the Full Apple Music Plan will receive a special discount.
This update is being pushed out to Maldivian accounts. Apple said everyone will receive the update by the end of the month.
