The technical issues faced by the Laamu atoll Fonadhoo water plant have been resolved, and water supply services have been resumed.
The water plant ran dry late last Saturday night, after the plant became damaged a week earlier, as per the island's council. With this, water supply services on the island were interrupted, with households relying solely on this as a source of water facing difficulties.
In a post on X, Fenaka Corporation announced that the issue has now been resolved and water supply services have been resumed.
They thanked Maldivian airline for the cooperation extended towards taking necessary resources for the water plant repairs from Male' to Fonadhoo. The company also expressed gratitude towards the patience shown by the people of Fonadhoo.
