A Bangladeshi man died today in an accident where a motorcycle collided with a traffic cone kept on the lane coming towards Male' on the Sinamale' Bridge Highway.
A Bangladeshi man died today in an accident where a motorcycle collided with a traffic cone kept on the lane coming towards Male' on the Sinamale' Bridge Highway.
Police said that the accident occurred around 08:19hrs this morning.
They said that the cones had been placed to indicate that work was ongoing on the solar panels placed on the side of the highway.
The man was rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital following the accident, where he succumbed to injuries around 09:05 hrs.
Cones are frequently placed on the highway when work is being carried out on the solar panels. Sometimes, people are there to direct traffic away from the cones.
Police said that the accident will be investigated further.
