Black magic allegations have surfaced from R. Meedhoo and Alifushi.
Maldives Police Service has launched a major operation in R. Alifushi and Meedhoo over allegations of black magic being performed in both islands.
Informing media about the matter, Police said that they received reports of black magic being performed in these islands. According to local media, several houses are also being searched by the authority. However, police have not shared further information regarding the matter.
Residents of both islands have shared concerns on social media recently about sorcery being performed as well.
This is not the first time police are looking into reports of black magic. In the past, the agency has arrested people over such allegations.
Last year, Police searched homes in Sh. Kanditheemu and even found materials used to perform black magic in some of the homes as well.
