STELCO employees will be trained in various areas by the Military Welfare Company (SIWEC).
The agreement was signed by STELCO's Managing Director Hussein Fahmy on behalf of STELCO and Colonel Ahmed Zubair, Managing Director of SIWEC.
Speaking at the ceremony, Fahmy said that during recent incidents and events, some STELCO employees had been involved in rescue operations and had even saved someone who fell into the sea. Fahmy also mentioned that employees had confronted people who tried to break into STELCO buildings.
"We looked into whether these staff members had completed this training program. What were the benefits, and how did these staff members gain the confidence to take initiative in such situations. We found thst all the employees who took initiative were those who had been trained by MNDF personnel in our leadership training program," Fahmy said.
"Therefore, I would say this program will be beneficial not only in our work environment but also in serving the nation and in personal family life. It's truly a beneficial program."
