The Ministry of Higher Education officially moved all of its services to the new Umar Zahir Office Building in Hulhumalé on Sunday.
The ministry said in an announcement yesterday that the office will be located on the fifth floor of the Umar Zahir Office Building, in Hulhumalé phase 1.
With this change, services that were provided by the ministry counters will now be provided at the counter allocated for the ministry on the ground floor of the building.
The ministry's departments were previously located in various buildings in the capital city.
The Ministry of Gender and Family and the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation have also been moved to the new building in Hulhumalé.
The Umar Zahir Office Building was formally inaugurated by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on February 15. This is the first time government offices are being established outside of Malé.
