In today's first meeting of the third session of the 20th People's Majlis, the Speaker read out the President's letter on the parliament floor.

In the letter, the President stated that as per the constitution, he is submitting the names of the three cabinet ministers he appointed on September 30 for parliamentary approval.

These three appointments are the changes of former Minister of Foreign Affairs Moosa Zameer to Minister of Finance, former Minister of Health Dr Abdulla Khaleel to Minister of Foreign Affairs, and former Principal Secretary to the President on Public Policy Ahmed Nazim Ibrahim to Minister of Health.

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ahmed Nazim, who was presiding over today's sitting, said that the matter is being forwarded to the Government Oversight Committee.
