Bank of Maldives has announced the recipients of their Waste Management Grant Project.
The project was launched with the aim of providing necessary resources and equipment for establishing better waste management practices.
Recipients are awarded equipment of MVR 500,000 in value to improve existing waste management facilities.
The selected recipients of the grant are Live and Learn Environmental Education Maldives and Maldives Open Plastic Alliance (MOPA).
Under the program, three glass crusher machines will be provided to the Live and Learn Environmental Education Maldives. The machines will be used in Kaafu atoll Gaafaru, Alif Alif atoll Ukulhas and Alif Dhaalu atoll Dhigurah.
MOFA will be provided a glass crusher machine and a baler. These will be used in Hulhumale'.
This project is designed to contribute towards building a resilient, sustainable environment through responsible waste management.
