Parliament has today granted approval to the four ministers who had changes brought to their mandate after December's cabinet shuffle.
Parliament has today granted approval to the four ministers who had changes brought to their mandate after December's cabinet shuffle.
With the changes brought to the cabinet by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu:
- Moosa Zameer is the Minister of Finance and Planning
- Dr Abdulla Muththalib is the Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure
- Dr Ali Haidar is the Minister of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development
- Dr Maryam Mariya is the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare
All three Ministers besides Haidar were given approval through the unanimous votes of all MPs in attendance. Six opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) MPs voted against Haidar.
This is the second time that President Muizzu has brought changes to his cabinet.
