The event will take place at Kalaafaanu School from 16:00 to 22:00 hrs on Friday.
Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) will host a special festival for children, the "Bingaa Festival," on Friday.
The festival will feature fun sports activities and educational sessions aimed at introducing children to various fields. One of the highlights will be a financial literacy class, a Q&A session with "Auntie Aisha," and a special presentation on sea turtles and tortoises in collaboration with Atoll Marine Conservation.
Atoll Marine Conservation Center, managed by the Laamu atoll Naifaru Juvenile group, works to protect the turtle and tortoise populations on the island.
In addition to the educational sessions, the festival will offer enjoyable activities such as a jumping castle and various food stalls.
The event will take place at Kalaafaanu School from 16:00 to 22:00 hrs on Friday.
During the festival, MIB will provide information about its Bingaa Kids account. Children interested in opening an account will have the opportunity to apply for a Bingaa debit card and internet banking services. The event will also offer assistance for existing Bingaa account holders.
The Bingaa account bundle includes three types of accounts:
- A transactional account for children to manage pocket money given by parents.
- A savings account for short-term savings
- An investment account for long-term savings
These accounts were introduced by MIB to help children develop financial responsibility and encourage them to save for the future.
