The Ministry of Health said today that since the introduction of the National Air Ambulance Service in March last year, the Air Ambulance has made 700 flights to date, carrying 804 patients.
A Dash aircraft from Island Aviation was adapted for use as an air ambulance, equipped with facilities required in emergency situations.
Air Ambulance services are provided collaboratively by the Ministry of Health, NSPA and Island Aviation.
