Maldives resorts rank among TripAdvisor’s top getaways

A number of Maldives’ resorts have made the lists of leading tourist hotels and resorts of the world in this year’s Traveller’s Choice Awards hosted by renowned travel website TripAdvisor.

The winners’ lists of the annual awards were released Tuesday. Two resorts of the Maldives, JA Manafaru and Kandolhu Maldives, placed tenth and eleventh respectively in the “Top 25 Hotels in the World” category.

Kandolhu Maldives also placed eighth in “Best Luxury Hotels in the World”, followed by Baros Maldives in fourteenth place. The two resorts also ranked among the “Best Romantic Hotels in the World” category.

Five resorts of the Maldives were named among the “Top 25 Hotels in Asia” region with JA Manafaru, Kandolhu Maldives, Six Senses Laamu, Mirihi Island Resort and Gili Lankanfushi Maldives.

“Best Luxury Hotels in Asia” included Kandolhu Maldives, Baros Maldives, Gili Lankanfushi Maldives, Six Senses Laamu and Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. Meanwhile, the “Best Romantic Hotels in Asia” named Baros Maldives, Kandolhu Maldives, Komandoo Maldives Island Resort, Constance Moofushi and Gili Lankanfushi Maldives.

Four resorts also ranked among “Best Hotels for Service in Asia” with Kandolhu Maldives, Baros Maldives, Mirihi Island Resort and JA Manafaru.
