Dhiraagu to disburse MVR 661 million to shareholders

At the Dhiraagu Annual General Meeting last night, a decision was passed to disburse MVR 661 million as the final dividend of their net profit to shareholders.

At the Dhiraagu Annual General Meeting last night, a decision was passed to disburse MVR 661 million as the final dividend of their net profit to shareholders.

This was passed through votes in favour from 99 percent of the 151 shareholders who attended the Dhiraagu 36th AGM held last night in Crossroads Maldives.

With this, MVR 8.70 will be paid per share. This is a 16 percent increase from the amount decided on last year, which was at MVR 7.50 per share, with a total of MVR 570 million.

Last night's AGM reached the decision to pay MVR 126 million in interim dividends, with MVR 1.66 per share, and MVR 535 million in final dividends, with MVR 7.04 per share.

The share profits of last year will be disbursed to those registered as shareholders before February 17 this year.

Dhiraagu received revenues of MVR 2.7 billion last year, which is a 5.9 percent increase from the year before.

Last year, they received profits of MVR 946 million, which is a 5.5 percent increase compared to the previous year. In 2023, Dhiraagu made profits of MVR 896 million.
