Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives has been included in the 2026 Selection of the MICHELIN Guide, a milestone that highlights the independently owned resort's reputation for high quality island hospitality.

The MICHELIN Guide's hotel selection features distinctive stays around the world, evaluated on five criteria: connection to destination, excellence in architecture and design, quality and consistency of service, authenticity and character, and overall value.

Kuda Villingili's inclusion in the Guide reflects its focus on offering guests the freedom to experience Maldives at their own pace, the resort said.

"Being selected for the MICHELIN Guide is a meaningful recognition for Kuda Villingili and, above all, for our team. Every day, our ambassadors bring warmth, care and individuality to the guest experience," said Amjad Thaufeeq, Commercial Director at Kuda Villingili Resort Maldives.

"This recognition reflects the passion behind what we have created together and encourages us to continue evolving while remaining true to who we are."

Located in North Male' Atoll and just 30 minutes away by speedboat from Velana International Airport, the resort features 75 villas, including 36 overwater villas, all with private pools. Designed for couples, families and groups, the island balances privacy with shared spaces.

Guests have access to eight dining experiences, an expansive overwater spa, a 150 metre swimming pool, sports and wellness facilities, and activities that blend ocean adventure with quiet island living. Its proximity to Chickens Break, a renowned surf spot, adds another dimension to the stay. The resort also holds its third consecutive Green Globe certification, recognizing its environmental and community commitments.

Kuda Villingili positions itself as a place where guests can define their own version of the Maldives, through adventure, wellness, gastronomy, family time or simply the luxury of slowing down. The resort stated that the MICHELIN Guide 2026 selection marks a new chapter in that journey.
