Marriott International in the Maldives has concluded its first-ever China Roadshow, which saw participation from 106 travel agents across Shanghai, Chengdu, and Shenzhen.
The initiative was aimed at deepening relationships with key partners and reinforcing the resort's long term commitment, Marriott International stated.
According to the organizers, the roadshow was designed to strengthen engagement with travel partners and showcase Marriott International's portfolio of resorts in Maldives.
Marriott International resorts in the Maldives offer a wide variety of experiences, ranging from curated wellness and spa journeys to distinctive dining, marine adventures, as well as luxury overwater and beachfront villas.

Participants of the China Roadshow were provided with the latest product updates, promotional strategies, and collaborative initiatives to support bookings and enhance client management.
With its extensive resort portfolio in the Maldives, the initiative also reinforces ongoing efforts to promote Maldives as a top-tier luxury escape for Chinese travelers.
Marriott International said the initiative, which connected directly with agents in Shanghai, Chengdu, and Shenzhen, strengthened the resorts' commitment to tailored support, commercial growth, and long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships in one of the world's most dynamic outbound travel markets.

Marriott International also launched the China destination sales team, aimed at enhancing market engagement and operational efficiency. The team is led by Emily Zhou, Cluster Director of Destination Sales, who is joined by four account directors, Fiona Wang, Jiang Qing Deng (Bella), Shenglan Huang (Stellan), and Zhang Hanrui (Helen).
“We are delighted by the strong engagement from our partners across Shanghai, Chengdu, and Shenzhen,” said Peter Foreman, Senior Director of Sales, Marketing and Distribution – Singapore & Maldives.
“This roadshow not only demonstrates our commitment to the Greater China market but also reflects the value we place on close collaboration with our trade partners. Our new China destination sales team enables us to provide more tailored support, strengthen relationships, and collectively grow our business in this key market.”
Marriott International currently boasts nine resorts in the Maldives, including The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, The St Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, W Maldives, JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa, and Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa.
