A new five-star resort has just opened its doors officially in Lhaviyani (Lh) atoll.
Although Meyyafushi Maldives officially opened this month, it has been accommodating tourists since November last year.

Meyyafushi Maldives can be reached by a 35-minute seaplane ride from Velana International Airport.
The eco-friendly, Maldivian-style resort has 94 luxury villas. Each villa has its own private pool. The resort also offers an underwater dining experience and an infinity pool.

Meyyafushi Maldives also offers guests modern spa services and has a fitness centre and watersports facilities.
When it comes to dining, the resort has three restaurants offering world famous international cuisine, including Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.
Each guest is provided with personalized butler service.

Meyyafushi Maldives is a new resort operated by the same company behind Fushifaru Maldives Resort.
Last year, six new resorts were opened in the Maldives. At present, 179 tourist resorts are being operated in the country, with approximately 45,000 beds. Resorts make up about 70 percent of tourism service providers in Maldives.

The Tourism Ministry has previously revealed that seven new resorts will come into operation this year.
