President of the United States Donald Trump's "The Trump Organization" has begun work to open a luxury resort in Maldives.

A report yesterday from Bloomberg stated that the Trump Organization along with their Saudi Arabian business partner are drawing up plans to build a luxury resort in Maldives. The report reads that plans have been made to "tokenize" the project, and specifically give crypto and blockchain investors the opportunity to take part in the project.

The resort, named "Trump International Hotel Maldives", will have more than 80 ultra-luxury beach villas and water villas and will be built with London-based, Trump Organization Saudi Arabian partner and real-estate company Dar Global Plc, as was written in the Bloomberg report.

As per the report, this will be the “the launch of the world’s first tokenized hotel development tied to the project."

The Trump Organization decided to open a resort as Trump and his family are expanding their crypto business network in various areas across the globe.

Trump has signed Executive Orders for the progression of the crypto industry. A relevant law has also been ratified recently in the U.S..

The Bloomberg report also stated that the resort, which can be reached from Male' in 25 minutes via speedboat, will be opened at the tail end of 2028.

The project will become part of the many ongoing projects under the Trump Organization and Dar Global's belt. Both companies have begun Trump-brand projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar.

While Trump Towers are being built in Jeddah and Dubai, the Trump Organization has projects in Oman such as resorts, luxury houses and golf courses that are being run by Dar Global.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman is currently on an official visit to the U.S.. The report states that Salman will be meeting with Trump today, and will hold an official discussion to strengthen relations between the two countries.
