ADK hospital on Friday revealed that Majilis Speaker and Former President Mohamed Nasheed had undergone a final life-saving procedure that afternoon.
Around 2030hrs on Thursday, an explosion took place near Nasheed's residence as he was getting in his car. Four more people were injured in this attack, according to the Police.
The hospital said over the past 16 hours he had multiple surgeries on his head, chest, abdomen and limbs.

"He remains in critical condition in intensive care," ADK said via twitter.
Earlier on Friday, they sad said he required a final essential procedure, after several successful ones beforehand.
ADK further said that they would provide the appropriate details regarding his health at a suitable time, on request of his family.
The hospital has previously said that Nasheed had sustained multiple injuries when he was brought in to the hospital. They had also stated he was being treated by a multi specialty team and that his vitals were stable.
The hospital has been giving regular updates on the Maldives National Democratic Party's (MDP) leader's condition since he was brought in for treatment.
Authorities have branded this a terrorist attack and are working to investigate this matter.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said during a broadcast in the early hours of Friday that a team from Australian Federal Police will be arriving in Maldives on Saturday. This team will assist in the ongoing investigation.
