A young child has been injured after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street on a designated zebra crossing.
A young child has been injured after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing the street on a designated zebra crossing.
Police said that the incident occurred yesterday afternoon on the zebra crossing located in front of Villa Mart on Majeedhee Magu.
Police said that the injured child is three years of age.
The child fell down upon impact, hitting his head. They were immediately taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police said that the motorcycle involved in the accident had been driven by a Maldivian male, who had a valid driving license.
Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
