An 18 year old youth has suffered injuries in a dangerous accident that occurred in Hulhumeedhoo, Addu yesterday.
Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital said that the youth is currently receiving treatment and is on ventilator support.
The youth has been identified as Mohamed Ilmu, of MaradhooFeydhoo.
It has been reported that the accident occurred while he was training for a motorcycle race 'Enmenge Drag Championship', organized by the Addu Motor Racing Association.
The accident occurred at around 11:30am yesterday, when Ilmu lost control of the motorcycle he was practicing for the race on, and crashed into a nearby house under construction.

An IGMH Media Official confirmed to Mihaaru News that Ilmu is currently admitted in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit, and is on ventilator support. Details of his injuries have not been disclosed.
