Eydhafushi, during the semi finals of the Ninety Plus Gold Cup today, defeated Malé with a score of 3-2, securing its spot in the finals.

This is the second time Eydhafushi beat Malé in the tournament. The first time was when the two teams faced off in the group stage.

Eydhafushi came onto the pitch strong and scored all three of its goals within the first 30 minutes of the match.

The first two goals were scored by Hamza Mohamed (Hampu). This is the first time Hampu played for his home island as a player in the first 11s.

The midfielder who officially plays for Maaziya Sports Club joined the tournament from the quarter finals onwards. That match was against Naifaru and Hampu came on as a substitute players.

The team's third goal was by Ishan Ibrahim (Sattu) which went straight into the goal post.

After cushioning its position in the lead with a total of three goals, Eydhafushi then changed up its tempo. The team was seen in a more relaxed space, still maintaining control of the ball and trying to finish the half easily.

During the second half, however, Malé came on with a determination to shake things up. They upped their game and scored two goals. Although there were more opportunities to score, the team was not able to land them into the goal.

Eydhafushi also missed an open opportunity to score at the very end of the match, which was skilfully saved by Malé's goal keeper Tholal Hassan.

In the second semi final match tonight, Addu City will face off against R. Alifushi.
