The government has shifted the distribution of fish can cases from Male' City Council to the Local Government Ministry and has made changes to the distribution locations and timings.

Each household will receive one case containing 48 cans of tuna, with distribution based on electricity meters. Over 80,000 households across the Maldives are expected to receive the canned fish.

STO has stated that any additional locations for distribution will be announced later.
Previously, Male' City Council buildings were designated for distribution.
However, in a post today, the council said that STO had been informed that the Local Government Ministry would now handle the task.
The reasons for this last-minute change remain unclear. Meanwhile, distribution has already started in the islands.
